The Story Behind the Band

Imagine a group of musicians who came together in the vibrant city of Portland, Oregon. We are Mbrascatu, a band fueled by passion and a love for music.

Our journey began with a humble vision - to bring our music to the world, thus Mbrascatu was formed in 2010 in Portland, Oregon by singer-songwriter and guitar player Andrea Algieri. Believing that music has the power to connect, inspire, and transcend all boundaries, they recorded their debut album, Mbrascatu (self titled) in 2012, followed by Tempo 2014, Elementi 2016 and Tutto Cambia 2021.

Our sound is a fusion of various influences, ranging from the intricate melodies of indie rock to the infectious rhythms of world music, including European folk, psych rock to Americana, through our unique blend of genres and heartfelt lyrics, we aim to touch the hearts of people from all walks of life.
